nicely done, considering with which GB Studio version it was made!

Thank you, great video! Off Grid II coming soon (2025).

hahaha! great news :D

Fun game. Is there a trick to crossing the river or is it strictly luck-based?  Also, does the path in the village to the right of the shrine lead anywhere or is it just decoration? Also, also, do the eggs do anything?

I love the foraging meets mini Stardew Valley feel.

River - yes, there is an economy of luck, you can gain points by praying at the shrine. This will increase your chances of crossing the river. The egg adds to your food inventory. The path doesn’t lead anywhere. Thanks for playing!

Awesome! I’m going to give it another play through to see if I can make the summit!

good luck! (pray).

I love the concept! Good job.

Thanks fizzlymike, I hope you found the game fun too. It was my first ambitious project.

Yup, I had fun! I'm just curious what's the right path from the city (can't choose go there right now). And I'm little confused with "It's a nice day!" which pop-ups every time I enter the garden. I mean, why every single time...?

When you leave the house, your avatar tells you what the weather is like as it affects the growth of the corn. You need a surplus of food to buy cotton and leather at the shop, then make them into boots and a satchel, respectively. Then when you have boots and a satchel, you can open up the mini adventures up the mountain. Hope that helps.

Thank you. I really admired wink.

Thank you! That means a lot

Good game thank you! could not find the ghost tho...:(

(+1)

To see the Yeti, you have to be lucky, but to see the ghost you have to be unlucky as it’s scary 😬. However, it might not be a ghost and it might not be a yeti! 😉

awesome, thank you for taking the time to reply, have an excellent day sir

Does feeding the chicken change anything?

(+1)

Yes, just like economic theory, kill and eat now, or invest for a steady return. Feed it a few times and see what you get.

Wow great job! Is there an ending to the game? I told all the stories but what happens next?

(+1)

Wow, great to hear. I didn’t create a definite ending as I wasn’t sure it needed one. What do you think? What does it feel like it needs? I thought maybe the pub friends put a statue up for you.

pretty interesting!

Thanks Redtree, did you get your boots and rucksack?

(+1)

Interesting!

(+1)

Thanks. Did you get swept down the river yet?

yes, hilarious, I tried to cross the river twice.

(+1)

I recommend you pray at the shrine in the village (there’s a hidden economy of luck).
