Chomp N Stomp your way through a series of levels. Destroying houses to progress to the next level. You are the oversized lizard, that came from under the ocean. You are annoyed by the humans.

Use "Z" "X" (for A and B)

direction arrows (direction pad)

"Enter" and "Shift" on your Keyboard. (Start and Select)

Or use the screen display interface on touch screens. Alternatively download the ROM and play in a Game Boy emulator or on actual hardware (yes, the Game Boy).

An experiment in tile swapping, my first attempt at making a counter display or game HUD.

Project unfinished. The plan is to add 2 more sectors with 5 levels each. Maybe add a bonus for a high vehicle destruction rate. Definitely improved pixel work and iron out bugs.

I'd like to thank Frederik for his Game Boy tile swapping plug-in. Tile swap plugin for GB Studio I recommend it to my GB Studio friends.

Made with  GB Studio thanks Chris Maltby

It's got a big dino in it!

I liked the behaviour of the tanks -- appropriately annoying. I did find myself getting hit by tank shells a few times when I didn't expect to, like the hitbox was a bit too large. But I didn't analyse this closely.

Nice work!

Thank you. I think the scale I chose are a bit smaller than what GB studio can discern. I tried making the collisions on the sprites smaller in the editor but I couldn’t get it to work. Something to learn for future projects. Thanks for the feedback.

Really cool! Fun concept & story! I died in sector 2, but I will try to destroy every sectors later for sure!

Also, if I may, you should set the viewport dimension of your game (when you edit your project) to 480px width and 432px height so that it renders properly on your Itchio page project as follow:

That's just a small tip if you don't mind. ^^
Again I really did enjoy the game. Congrats!
